Mrs. Nora Conway, 176 Brick St., Throop, died this morning in Mercy Hospital, after a brief illness. She was the widow of Thomas J. Conway, born in County Sligo, Ireland, the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Begley of Ireland. She resided in Throop 50 years. She was a member of the St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Dickson City, and its Altar and Rosary Society.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas J., Queens Village, Long Island, NY and Andrew J., Bronx, NY; two daughters, Miss Kathleen Conway, principal of the Columbus Grade School, Throop, and Mrs. Joseph Ludgate, this City; one sister, Mrs. Mary Ann McGowan, Throop; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A brother, Thomas Bagley prominent labor leader, died last June.
The funeral will be from the Glinsky Funeral Home, 445 Sanderson St., Throop, with mass at St. Thomas Church, Interment will be in Cathedral Cemetery. Friends may call starting tomorrow from 7 to 10 p.m. and thereafter from 2 to 10 p.m.
