Engelbert Schultis Funeral Notice

On December 25, 1906 at 11:30 pm Engelbert Schultis beloved husband of Catherine Schultis (nee Schweitzer), aged 58 years 2 months ?? days.
Funeral on Saturday. December 29 at 8:30 am., from his late residence No. 215 Madison avenue, Allegheny.  Requiem mass at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Liberty and Nelson Streets, Allegheny, at 9 o'clock.  Friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend.

Engelbert Schultis

DIES AS A RESULT OF AN ACCIDENT

Engelbert Schultes, aged 58, of 215 Madison Avenue, Allegheny, died at Mullen's Emergency Hospital, Collins avenue, East End, at 12:10 o'clock this morning from a broken back received last Sunday evening when he fell down an elevator shaft at the Penn Carriage Company's warehouse, Penn avenue, East End.  He had been employed as a watchman by the company.

Engelbert Schultis was born in Waldkirch, Emmendingen, Germany on 17 October 1848 to Sebastian Schultis and Therisiae Frank. He married Catherine Schweitzer on 01 January 1872 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Allegheny City, Allegheny, PA. Engelbert died from a fall down an elevator shaft on 25 December 1906.
Catherine Schweitzer was born on 21 June 1843 in Pine Creek, Allegheny, Pennsylvania to Johan (John Schweitzer and his wife, Barbara Schwarz. Catherine died on 10 January 1925 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, PA.
Engelbert and Catherine Schultis are buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ross Township, Allegheny, PA, along with their children: George, Elizabeth, Anna Marie, William, and Harry.
Of the children of Engelbert and Catherine Schultis, only George Schultis, who married Matilda Schuck, and Elizabeth, who married Frank Gillig had children.
